Longing for each other we close the curtains to any life that remains; leaving darkness to surround the only light we shed is our gift to one another among our shadowed bed we lay. Among the starry sky or in waves of crimson silk we feel a coolness upon our skin as relishing the life we have within each other without and back in. The only noise heard is my replying inhale to all you exhale. Tracing my fingertips along each curve and line as you bury your face against my neck. Looking up to my eyes, every worry or doubt melts away as I know you feel the same gazing back.
